A large lawn, kept sharp and striped
Regular mowing and edging keep this garden's biggest feature at its best — cut to the right height for the season, with clean, even stripes right across the plot.

Independent · NW London · Jo Griffin
A gardener who came to the job the long way round — and takes it seriously.
Mr Griffin's Gardens is Jo Griffin. He came to gardening later than most: before this he worked for the Police and the Fire Brigade, and spent four years in the television industry, before deciding it was time to work outdoors in a trade that was active and always changing. So he enrolled at Capel Manor College in Enfield and studied for a Level 3 in horticulture.
Five years on he had a recognised qualification and real experience from some of the best gardens in England — the National Trust at Ascot House in Bedfordshire, the world-famous Regent's Park, and the landscaping firm Nurture Landscapes at a high-end business park in Chiswick. Today he brings all of that to ordinary gardens across North West London, with a service clients describe simply as honest, reliable and five-star.
How it works
A quote, a plan, a garden kept right.
01
A free quote
Get in touch and Jo comes to see the garden, talks through what you need and gives you a free, no-obligation quote at competitive rates. Whether it is a one-off tidy or regular care, you know where you stand before anything starts.
02
A plan that suits you
One-off, weekly or monthly — the visits are arranged around your garden and how you use it. Nothing is over-sold; Jo tells you honestly what the garden actually needs and what it doesn't.
03
The work, done properly
Mowing, hedge cutting, pruning, weeding, planting, clearance — carried out to a trained horticulturist's standard, with all the green waste taken away so the garden is left clean and finished.
04
Kept looking its best
On regular visits the garden is looked after through the seasons — pruned, fed and shaped at the right time of year — so it stays healthy and cared for rather than lurching from overgrown to cut-back.
Properly trained
A Level 3 in horticulture from Capel Manor College and experience from the National Trust, Regent's Park and Nurture Landscapes — so pruning and planting are done for the plant, not just for a week.
One gardener, start to finish
The person who quotes your garden is the person who looks after it. No rotating crews — just Jo, getting to know your garden season by season.
